Normative just released “A Modern Promise” by Francis and the Lights which has been on repeat in itunes for the past few days. They were kind enough to send it to me for free a few days before the release and I can’t say enough good things about both Normative and this album.

I’ve mentioned before my love for Jason Collett’s new album but I figured I should finally post one of his tracks. Jason is a member of the more popular Broken Social Scene but you can definitely tell from his solo project that he is a fan of Bob Dylan, John Lennon, Tom Pettey and the likes. Some tracks have more of a country breeze than others, but “Out of Time” is my favorite as of now.
“Burn Notice” is my favorite new summer show on television. Think McGyver, 24, Magnum PI and James Bond combined into one hour long show based in south beach with some comedy thrown in the mix.

Loving the new EP from Jack’s Mannequin. I completely forgot about this band but I’ve always had a soft spot for Something Corporate/Andrew McMahon, they were my favorite band throughout junior high 7 or 8 years ago. Even though I kinda fell out of this kind of music, I’m really looking forward to the full album dropping in a few weeks, every song is catchy and uplifting. This will be the first single - “The Resolution”
